Mufidah and I went for a stroll about town earlier this evening, down Cliffe High St., alongside the River Ouse, up and over Willey's Bridge and home via the Pells and Castle Ditch Lane. Then just a bit ago we shared a simple dinner of oat cakes, smoked goat cheese which we bought at the farmers' market on Friday and a chunk of cheddar, and the remains of a pot of scrumdillyicious humous which we likewise picked up on Friday, from a Middle Eastern woman who brought her culinary delights to market for folk to sample and, almost inevitably, buy.
It's been a good weekend, though we were rather wiped out today from having taken the 12.05 am back from London (Victoria) last night, the 10.47 having been canceled due to a fatality on the tracks. We arrived home at 1.30, and I, silly me, stayed up until 4 am. We were in town celebrating Mufidah's daughter's 21st birthday. We took in a photography exhibition, too, before going to dinner.
Looking forward, already, to our early morning long walk tomorrow ...
